Cold Lake First Nation’s Chief Bernice Martial was appointed the grand chief of Treaty No. 6, making her the first female to lead the organization.

It is the mandate of the is Council to work for the CLFN to ensure that Treaty Rights are honored and members have every opportunity to derive a prosperous livelihood from the resources of the traditional lands. The CLFN is one which is rich in assets, people; language; culture, and lands.

Walter Janvier is a successful businessman and avid aviator that served on many of the CLFN company boards providing guidance and leadership to the CLFN businesses.

Cameron Janvier is a veteran Councillor at CLFN that has served many terms on council.
Cameron has a heart for the community and serves in many capacities to enhance the community impact.

Nico is a senior executive with more than 24 years oil and gas, energy and resource development experience in various leadership roles. He has experience in P&L improvement, national and international project management, business development, project reorganization and project portfolio management with total project forecasted budgets of up to $12B.
Projects performed in North and South America, Africa, Middle and Far East within the Oil Sands, Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Mining industries. He has demonstrated leadership to develop and focus professional teams on a common vision and goal with a united set of values. He is skilled in, and has proven track record in contract negotiations, risk management, cost-containment, performance management, and the ability to plan, establish, integrate and execute strategic and tactical development plans across business and project functions.
He is the foundor of ND Ventures Ltd which developed the Critical Integrated Project Execution (CIPE) approach, which he successfully applied on numerous projects to provide substantial risk reduction, cost and schedule benefits on projects. He is a passionate advocate for improving project execution and consults globally on improving project execution and delivery capabilities.

Ron (Master of Business Administration (MBA), North West University, South Africa; HND Chemistry, Technical University, Pretoria), has more than 25 years Chemical industry experience in Management, Marketing, Supply Chain and Technical experience. Further managed projects, R&D, Safety Health Quality and Environment systems.
He has wide exposure in various in chemical industries including gas, petrochemicals, metallurgy, and water treatment. He was appointed Managing Director of Sasol Polymers based in the Middle East where he established and managed the business focussed on global marketing and supply chain solutions. He was appointed project manager for Sasol Polymers based in the US with specific focus on development of Business plans, Supply chain design and ERP business systems.
He is a motivator and leader of multi-cultural teams and global sales channels. Broad suite of operations, finance, supply chain, sales/marketing, and strategic planning skills. A standards-focused leader proficient in directing operations, business model optimization, outsourcing, and cost control, with adept management of cultural and organizational diversity
